Here are 10 tips to becoming the confident you, the you that has a voice.....the perfect you – no matter what your weight!
Begin by deciding that NOW you are worthwhile, confidence and happy. Practice this positive affirmation ‘I release all negative emotions and feelings, a weight has been lifted from my shoulders, I am light in body and light in mind’. Practice this when you awake in the morning and throughout the day. As you repeat this in your head, your unconscious mind will respond with the positive outlook you deserve.
- Start the morning with some warm water and freshly squeezed lemon. This will clear out your system and quicken metabolism.
- Imagine yourself slim, slim and happy and healthy, repeat ‘I am happy and healthy’ prior to each meal.
- Programming your mind begins with changing old habits. The more you do something the more your mind is programmed to do it that way. Begin to chew your food properly – taking at least twice as long to chew your food. You will enjoy your food more and feel full quicker. Give yourself smaller portions at each meal and allow yourself to leave food when you feel full up and satisfied.
- DRINK LOTS OF WATER – at least 2 litres per day. You often eat when in actual fact you are thirsty. Your body is made up of 80% water. You need at least 8 large glasses per day. Keep water in the fridge, in the car, in the office. Water will give you more energy, a clearer complexion and will reduce the craving for fast foods.
- Eat protein with each meal. This will make you feel full and less likely to snack. Fish such as salmon, mackerel, sardines have large quantities of omega 3 oils – will boost immunity and make you feel satisfied. Eat chicken and meat with green vegetables for lunch and dinner. Eggs in the morning – boiled, poached or omelette. Throughout the day drink herbal teas for an energy boost!
- Find other things to do at times of over eating (eg in the evening), have a nice bubble bath with lavender or rose oils for deep relaxation and calm.
- Start the day with a smoothie – there are lots of recipes that will re-vitalise and re-energise, cranberries, blueberries, organic yogurt, banana, mango.
- Have a night out with friends. Be kind to yourself. Get away from the daily hum drum.
- Use Self Hypnosis to imagine yourself healthy. This can reduce overwhelming feelings of stress and anxiety over food and related issues.
- Most importantly – do not compare yourself to others – only yourself. You are worthwhile and deserve to be healthy and free.
